How did you come to Jesus?
Born to Christian parents, my brothers' names are Mark, Luke, John... I wasn't named Matthew!  While regularly attending church, The Holy Spirit spoke to me as a teen, and I've been blessed ever since.

How/Why did you join FBC Bethalto?
I was called by the trustees, [who inquired of my interest] in taking a part-time position back in 2006.  This lead to my full-time employment.

What excites you the most about FBC Bethalto?
The most impressive thing would have to be the compassionate spirit of [the church in] reaching out to others.  [This] speaks well of how God has blessed FBC.  I've met many here who "hold loosely to that which isn't eternal"!

What should people know about your roll at FBC Bethalto?
I'm willing to help out and serve in a spirit of love for the Kingdom building [being done through] FBC.

What brings you joy outside of your work?
[The concept of] "God First" has brought closer my marriage, family, and friends.  I am very blessed indeed.  I try to enjoy quality time in every thing I do, as if I was doing it for God... which [in fact] we are (Col. 3:23)!

Education/Experience?
A graduate of Wood River High School, I was hired by Laclede Steel Company a week after graduating in 1973.  I didn't further my education as planned, but God had other plans for me.  Thank God!
