"Elevate" Student Ministries encourages students and teenagers to develop a life of discipleship to Jesus. In addition, students are trained to take on spiritual leadership amongst their peers (Romans 15:14). Elevate Student Ministry achieves this through the following programs:
Classes
Educational classes include Bible Study Groups on Sunday Mornings and Wednesday nights. The values of the curriculum include: showing students how to know God, encouraging students to own their relationship with Him, and equipping students to make Him known to others. On Sunday mornings, classes are divided into small group acording to school grade. As a result, we currently offer the following small groups: Middle School, Under Classmen (9th-10th), and Upper Classmen (11th-12th).
Volunteer Opportunities
Of course, head knowledge has no worth without life application. On a weekly basis, we mentor students by providing a myriad of volunteer opportunities, including video & sound crew, pre-school services, music ministry, ushering, and hospitality crews.
Monthly Activities
In addition, all students are invited to a monthly activity, which may include either a social event or missions project.
Retreats
Finally, we offer annual retreats. To offset registration costs, a limited number of scholarship to these events may apply. For a promtional video of these retreats, click here.
- "Centri- Fuge" - Make memories that will last a lifetime! This annual summer camp provides our younger teenagers with a week of intense worship, small-group Bible study, and team-building recreation, all of which is led by a highly trained staff. At Centri-Fuge, teens develop deeper friendships with both God and their peers. Our students attend the regional camp held at Union University in Jackson, TN.

Students travel out of thestate with a trained staff in order to serve communities in need through construction, home repairs, and children outreach. During the day, students are challenged both mentally and physically; During the evenings, students bond both socially and spiritually through group activites.
- "D - Now" - Let's get real! In the month of February, First Baptist Bethalto organizes a unique weekend camp in Bethalto for all of our students. Our youth break out into small-groups and meet off the church sight with youth leaders. This weekend provides intimate mentoring, designed to take students deeper into God's character.
