Jesus commanded us to spread His offer of salvation to everyone: "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved" (Mark 16). "...And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:18-20). As a result, our church values the giving of time and money to support evangelism through missions and church building. We do this as a local body through volunteer opportunities (see "Get Involved" page). We also do this in conjunction with our regional and state associations (See links below). The Southern Baptist Convention is unique for its annual convention of church delegates, where a budget is set for our Cooperative Program, wherein 42,000 churches pool their resources with us, in order to sponsor 15,000 seminary students, 10,000 missionaries, as well as disaster relief programs. The links below represent associations that are financially supported by our Cooperative Program, most of which focus on missions and evangelism:
