Upward Sports is a fun, engaging sports experience for boys and girls in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Our current season includes both basketball and cheerleading, and is open to kids throughout the community. Upward focuses on skills, character, and sportsmanship while utilizing quality coaching and sport development. The most important aspect of Upward is the opportunity to teach kids about Jesus through basketball and cheer. Registration opens October 1, with practices beginning in January, so check out the Events page for more information.
One of the best things about Upward is all the friends you make. I enjoy seeing some of the parents of boys I have had on my team throughout the years, and also to see the boys I have coached in the past. It’s also great to see the boys and girls from the past who are now volunteers in the program. Upward Sports is a great place to get involved here at First Baptist Church of Bethalto.
